The training “Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Training” is designed for individuals responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering safety training within an organization. The course introduces participants to the fundamental principles and relevant requirements for developing and implementing an effective safety training program.

The training covers the differences between education and training, key categories of safety education, the components of an effective training program, the role and qualification requirements of an occupational safety trainer, and training evaluation methods based on ANSI/ASSE Z490.1 and applicable OSHA requirements. The course also covers Kirkpatrick’s five levels of evaluation and Deming’s Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle for evaluating training effectiveness and achieving continuous improvement in safety training.

  • Key approaches to effectively organizing and delivering safety training.

3. Safety Training Evaluation and Effectiveness Measurement

  • Key requirements for evaluating training programs;
  • Fundamental training evaluation principles according to ANSI/ASSE Z490.1;
  • OSHA requirements related to safety training evaluation;
  • Training evaluation requirements related to OSHA Standard 1910.120;
  • Kirkpatrick’s five levels of safety training evaluation;
  • Evaluating participants’ reactions to training;
  • Evaluating knowledge and learning outcomes;
  • Evaluating behavioral changes;
  • Evaluating training results and impact;

4. Continuous Improvement of Safety Training
