Ethics for Safety Professionals

The training “Ethics for Occupational Safety Professionals” examines the importance of professional ethics in ensuring workplace safety and making responsible professional decisions. The course introduces participants to the fundamental ethical principles of the safety profession and explains how ethical approaches influence risk management, leadership, decision-making, and the daily activities of occupational safety professionals.

The training also covers the ethical decision-making process, the importance of professional integrity and responsibility in safety practice, and the role of ethics in developing a strong, fair, and responsible safety culture. Particular attention is given to the 8 core principles of the BCSP Code of Ethics, as well as the identification of ethical dilemmas and practical approaches to managing them.
