Personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection systems, and life-saving equipment play an essential role in protecting employees performing high-risk work. Proper selection, use, maintenance, and inspection of this equipment are critical for preventing workplace injuries and life-threatening incidents.

This training introduces participants to the main types of personal protective equipment, respiratory protection, fall protection systems, and life-saving equipment used during work on or near water, as well as the principles of their safe selection and use.


Program Components

1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Employer and employee responsibilities related to PPE use;
• Protective equipment for the eyes, ears, face, head, hands, arms, feet, and legs;
• Proper selection, use, care, and maintenance of PPE.

2. Respiratory Protection

• Major hazards requiring respiratory protection;
• Main types of respirators and their characteristics;
• Air-purifying, tight-fitting, loose-fitting, and atmosphere-supplying respirators;
• Selection and maintenance of respirators, filters, cartridges, and canisters.

3. Fall Protection Systems

• Main types of fall protection equipment;
• Safe use of fall protection systems;
• Selection and use of appropriate protection for high-risk work activities.

4. Life-Saving Equipment

• Main types and purposes of life-saving equipment;
• Safety requirements for using life-saving equipment when working on or near water;
• Inspection, maintenance, and safe use of life-saving equipment.
